What is the best AMD processor for gaming? I am currently looking at the AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 3.8/4.1GHZ. Are there any better than this? And no, I don't want to go Intel.

The FX-6200 is a Bulldozer generation CPU in the FX series. It is more or less crap. In general, the previous generation AMD CPUs, Phenom II, is considered a bit better in overall performance. In other words, Bulldozer was a new generation CPU that offered a little less performance than the previous generation Phenom II CPU.

If you want to stick with AMD then you should look at the Piledriver generation FX series. You should consider the 6 core FX-6300 / FX-6350 or the 8 core FX-8320 / FX-8350.

The 6300/6350 would be best for you, considering you're looking at the 6200, the 6350 would probably be the best fit.
