Need help choosing a graphics card for an older PC

I'm not very tech savvy so I ended up purchasing a pre-built gaming rig years ago. One of my graphics cards has died and I am looking to replace both of them with a new card.

My Specs are:

Dell XPS 630 PC

  Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0 GHz
  RAM: 4GB Samsung DDR2
  Motherboard: Dell Inc 0PP150
  Graphics Card: 2X Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 512MB in SLI
  PSU: 750W

I know the hardware is old, but do you have any recommendations for a graphics card that will run similar or better than the 2 8800GT, on what I currently have?

So you have an 8800 Ultra or just 2 8800GTs? I recommend an AMD radeon HD 7790. Outperforms both while using much less power.
