Hi all,
Im trying to get audio from my computer to play on a hd tv.
I have tried to use a hdmi cable from my graphics card (nvidia gts250) to my tv but there is no sound (i tried changing playback settings)
Now im trying to use a dvi cord from my computer to a dvi to hdmi adapter then plugged into hdmi port on my tv and i have an aux cable for sound. This is also not working i have also tried an spdif cord in place of the aux nothing will work :(.
Thanks for any help

How can i tell if it is 1.3 or higher? If it is a problem with my graphics card sending audio how can i fix this? Or would i just buy a new graphics card?

listed under sound, video and game controllers is, "High Definition Audio Device"

did some more research and discovered that i need an internal spdif connector from my motherboard to my graphics card is this correct? thanks for all your help :)
