Will an I7-3770 work in Pegatron IPISB-CU motherboard. It's an lga1155with a h61 chipset. The board makers say it can do a i7-

Just looking to upgrade my processor without killing the bank. I've already upped the video card and the power supply.

It is not listed under the compatible processors. There's a very slight possibility that it could work, but I would not risk spending the money on a 3770.

Most H61 and 6 series chipset mobos needed a bios update to run Ivy Bridge.

I would just buy an i7-2600 but they have jacked the prices up for some reason.
