Sound card for gaming headset

Hi,

I am looking at getting the Turtle Beach PX5 to use for my PS3/PS4 and on my computer. When I looked at their website to see what I need to do so I can use it on my computer, it says that I require a DDL sound card to use surround sound, which my laptop does not have.

I just wondered if there is an external sound card or something I can plug in that I could get so that I can use the surround sound.

Sorry, I did not do as much research into the DDL part as I probably should have.

I was able to find one that supports DDL but only in 5.1, not 7.1. But this would work for using it on your PC.
