Sound card for gaming headset

Hi,

I am looking at getting the Turtle Beach PX5 to use for my PS3/PS4 and on my computer. When I looked at their website to see what I need to do so I can use it on my computer, it says that I require a DDL sound card to use surround sound, which my laptop does not have.

I just wondered if there is an external sound card or something I can plug in that I could get so that I can use the surround sound.

Your mileage may vary on quality. I would do some research on some of the brands available, but yes, the product you seek to do just that does exist.

Thanks. And these would allow me to use the 7.1 surround sound that the headphones have?

Sorry, I did not do as much research into the DDL part as I probably should have.

I was able to find one that supports DDL but only in 5.1, not 7.1. But this would work for using it on your PC.
