Help with 2nd Hard Drive

Hello, I need help with my 2nd hard drive. I have windows XP Pro and after I installed the 2nd hard drive, I went into BIOS and turned ON all SAST. Then I saved it. It did show up as UNKNOWN. Not sure if this means anything or not.

Then I went in to Computer Management but I can't see my new hard drive. I even clicked on Rescan Disks...but nothing happens.

So I don't know if I'm doing this correctly or not. I need help, as easy to understand and simply instructions would be appreciated.

What did you turn on in the BIOS? I looked for SAST and could not find anything computer related. I was able to find something on SAS (SCSI Attached Storage) but unless your second drive is a SCSI drive you wouldn't need to turn on that option. Is this an IDE (PATA) or SATA drive? If it is an IDE drive did you set the jumper(s) to set it as either a master, slave or cable select drive? If you will provide the make and model of your computer I (and others) will be better able to help you.
