Hi
new member here and glad to meet you all.

so im a little confused on what to get. my budget is a little tight and the GTX 760 looked like a good option but im not sure the performance would be better enough to warrant the upgrade. so i have been looking at the GTX 770 but $400 bucks is a bit too much for me. then i saw that AMD lowered they're prices and i can now get a 7970 for $300 and that sounds like a good price but the confusion starts when i look at the GHZ edition or the BOOST edition and how they compare with the GTX 770. so now my head is swimming LOL. so here is what im currently looking at MSI R7970 TF 3GD5/OC BE Radeon HD 7970 3GB Twin Frozr OC Boost Edition
anyway my previous cards are MSI brand and i am really impressed with the quality of those so i thought i would buy from them again but if you guys suggest anything better im open.

BTW my specs are

i5 2500k
8gb 1600 ram
asus p8p67 v3 mobo
samsung 840 pro 256gb SSD
850w PSU
1920x1080 monitor
win7 64bit

thanks

Well after some soul searching and a long walk to the song Dust In The Wind i decided to go all in and get the GTX 770. that should last me for a good while i think.

i see no responses to this post but i realize now that this question has been answered many times before so sorry for beating a "dead horse"

thanks

ok so i just got my card its the MSI gaming GTX770 with the twin frozr.
everything seems to be fine but i did run into an issue with fitting the card onto my motherboard.
i have the ASUS p8p67<-stndrd and there is a heat spreader and SATA ports on the board that is right next to the card slot right in the way. if the cooler was just a little larger it wouldn't have worked.
i was able to get it to work by pushing the card inn as far as it would go but the little clip at the end of the card will not go over the notch on the card there is about 1mm/1.5mm left on the card to fully seat.

here is a pic" alt="" class="imgLz frmImg " />

so this is just a "heads up" to anyone else with this same motherboard
