I have a MSI 760GM-P23 (FX) mother board with 2 300GB hdd running in raid0 and one of the hdd is starting to fail, so i am looking into getting a replacement. seeing that the price of 2+GB hdd has gone down i was looking into getting 2 new ones and running raid1. so what i would like to know is how dose 2.2tb infinity compare to UEFI, dose it support 3TB HDDs, and can i use raid? or would it just be better to get one drive and get a new motherboard with an updated bios?

2.2TB Infinity is a feature which allows booting from HDDs larger than 2.2TB. Note that the OS must also support this, such as Win7 x64. Apparently to utilize a larger than 2.2 TB drive as the boot drive, Infinity must be enabled as well as setting “Raid Type” to IDE. It will not be recognized in a RAID or AHCI situation as the primary drive.
