Issues installing new memory

Hello, I noticed a few days ago that my comp was running slow, and after checking dxdiag I noticed 2 of my 4 ram sticks were not working. I bought 4 new sticks today and after installing I keep getting the 2 beep error. I also got the 4 beep error once, and I was actually able to start up with one of the new sticks by itself once but have not been able to repeat again. Thanks!

Quick update: I have it working with 3 out of 4 slots but when I try using all 4 sticks (16gb total) I get 4 beep error

SO you bought two sets? Still don't know CPU/mobo - but mixing sets isn't a good idea, can try raising DRAM voltage + 0.06 and MC (memory controller) voltage + 0.10 - have no idea what it will be called as Don't know your mobo - if AMD prob called CPU/NB, if Intel something like CPUVTT, VCCIO, might even be combined in with the VCCSA

Quick update: running dxdiag shows only 4gb of memory even though I have 12 installed??

Can check that you have the latest BIOS? Might help, but believe this is a locked BIOS on the mobo, if so, there's little you can do adjustment wise
