What temperatures should i try to keep my fx 6300 cpu at when overclocking?

The FX-6300 has a max operating temperature of 70c. Ideally, if you could keep it at below 60c under heavy load, you'd be doing pretty well. What clock speed are we talking about?

no idea, i've been reading around and people say 4.4 is good so maybe ill go with that. I've got the hyper 212 btw

What CPU Cooler do you plan to use? If it's stock, I wouldn't even consider doing a modest OC.

Hyper 212 should be good enough for a decent overclock, but like Spec13 mentioned, keep temps below 70C, preferably below 65C in my opinion.
