Card Power Usage

I just bought a Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 card to upgrade my machine. The power cord that came with the card was too short and doesn't match my power supply, so I used a single cord from my old card. Is there anyway to determine if the card is getting ample power? It ran a newer game for about 15 minutes, but I'm just uncomfortable not being sure.

You should be using the 6 pin power cables that came with your power supply to power the GPU.

What are the rest of your specs out of curiosity. You should be able to use the power connectors that came from the power supply.

Hopefully I get this right:

intel core i7 processor
Motherboard: Winbond W83677HG-i
RAM: Gold Series PC3 10666 (two 4GB DDR3 sticks)
PSU: Ultra X4 750W
Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 660
Running Windows 7 64 bit

I've probably forgotten something in there, but that's what I can recall. It has done amazing for the last few years, but this latest game has thrown it off.

Just use the 6 pin cables that came with the ULTRA X4 and you won't have an issue.

Yes, you dont have to use the cables that came in the box.
