Hello Everyone,

This is the first time I am asking here so please forgive me if I make any mistakes.

The motherboard of my current system is busted and no longer in use. So rather than replace or repair it, I thought it was about time to build a new system (except Storage). I had a look around and AMD FX-6300 is the processor that suits my need and budget. I had decided to start with the processor and build the system around it. So far here is my current selected configuration.

IMMEDIATE Config
CPU - AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz Hexa Core
Motherboard - Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+
Graphics - Integrated ATI Radeon HD 3000 GPU
PSU - Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX12V
Cabinet - CoolMaster HAF 912 Advance
Keyboard - Logitech K350 Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard
Mouse - Logitech M505 Wireless Laser Mouse
Memory - Dynet DDR3-1333 2x2GB (from old system)
Storage - Seagate Barracuda LP 2TB 5900RPM, Seagate 320 GB (from old system)
Display - BenQ 19" (from old system)

FUTURE Config (8-12months)
Motherboard - MSI 970A-G46, Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX/GEN3 R2.0, ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0
Graphics - XFX Radeon HD 7950 3GB 4-way CrossFire (or similar)
Memory - Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 2x4GB

Within a year, when I gather enough funds, I do intend to get a graphics card and make it a mid-high lvl gaming rig with as little change as possible.

Can you please let me know if there will be any issues with my IMMEDIATE Config? Any alternative? If additional cooling is required (Water, Air Preferred) and if so, which Case fans would you recommend? PSU will be sufficient for both IMMEDIATE and/or FUTURE Config? Or anything more you find informational.

I intend to get everything ready within the next 2 weeks and the budget for core components (cpu,mb,psu, case) is $300. The rest I can use my old stuff until I get new ones later (display,mouse/kb,memory). The PSU and MB(with onboard graphics) comes to 140$, if you can recommend another MB+Graphic+PSU under $140 that lets me play quality games released 2011-2013 at low/mid then I am fine with it. (such as ME3,GoW2,Assassin's Creed1-3,FarCry3,Crysis2, etc)

Thanks a lot!!

You should see if you can afford a FX-8350. It is a 8-core CPU. Try to get a new 7200 rpm hdd as it will load faster. also you can get a nvidia gtx 650 ti for 149.99 as it is a decent mid range card. I dont know how well it will perform so you might want to get a 650 ti boost. hope i helped
a b ) Power supply
a b À AMD
a c 106 V Motherboard
a c 78 U Graphics card

You won't be playing games, eve at the lowest settings on reduced resolutions on the integrated GPU. You NEED a GPU if you want to game at all.

Thanks so much for the reply.
Its a good choice, unfortunately I cant afford that one and there is much difference between 8350 and 6300 except the former having +2 cores and L2 Cache. Right now my priority is to get the immediate build setup, then get graphics card (possibly within 1-2months), then RAMs (Corsair Vengeance 4x 8GB or 2x8GB), then go for 7200rpm HDD (as you suggested) and finally a new 24-28" display. As for the graphics card, I now intend to get Sapphire 100354OC-2L (Radeon HD 7870) which is a bit better than GTX 650 Ti Boost.

I do intend to get one within a few months - Sapphire 100354OC-2L (Radeon HD 7870). I can endure till then without games. I had originally wanted to get Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze. But after taking the graphics into consideration, I am thinking of getting Corsair AX760 80+ Platinum. Will there be any problems with my current/immediate config (FX6300, M5A78L-M/U3), by including AX760?

With your upgrades you are looking at a slightly lower than top of the line gaming rig except for the CPU, I am pretty sure it will bottleneck the GPU I would suggest the 8350, and make sure if you upgrade to the 8350 you get a good cooler as it overheats.
