Alright, I'll probably be buying a graphics card soon. But, my current monitor is an older 1440x900 19" Dell LCD monitor. It works great, but a 1080p monitor would be nice. I need to decide between getting a better graphics card or a weaker one and a bigger display?

I have that very monitor, and FWIW, I'm very satisfied with it. The glossy finish is a little distracting at first, but you get used to it. Other than that, it's awesome.

EDIT: Actually, I have the 23" version of the same monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260109). My bad -- still, I don't think you can go wrong with a Dell IPS. The only thing to keep in mind with these particular models is that retailers are circumspect about the panel technology for some reason that isn't clear to me. Rest assured that the S2340m is an IPS panel, as reported here, under tech specs: http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?baynote_bnrank=0&baynote_irrank=2&c=hk&cs=hkdhs1&l=en&s=dhs&sku=391-10025&~ck=dellSearch
