No, not if you are playing single player games. If you are going to play the MMORPG stuff online you do.

Xbox 360 elite has a built in wifi-adapter. If you have a router (which I assume you do if you're posting this) then it can connect without any extra wifi attatchments

Yeah. So does the PS3. I remember after I got mine, I ran a 25' ethernet cable from the PS3 to my router. I happened to be looking through the guide and realized that it had a built in WiFi card or adapter, so set it up wireless.
