I currently have a pre-built HP unit and I'm upgrading to 12gb of memory. The problem I came across is finding a graphics card because, I have a 250w PSU. I'm looking to spend 150-200 on graphics card on top of finding a new PSU. I was looking at a Corsair 600w. Wasn't sure if it would fit in my tower and should I get a higher wattage PSU. I've posted my specs. Thanks for any help!

More about : upgrade video card psu

i'm not an expert, but i think this psu will enough for all mid range gpus and also can use with a high end gpu like gtx770 if you are not using too much power for other components

Well I learned something interesting while researching power supply upgrades for my own system. I had a 250W power supply with integrated graphics on the motherboard. I knew I would need to upgrade my power supply before I could hope to go with an upgraded video card. In researching the issue, I discovered power supply's come in several different flavors you might say. I went with a Silent Pro M 600W unit. This was a fully modular design that should fit pretty much any case (excluding low profile) around. What's the difference you might ask? Well here is a You Tube link that will clearly demonstrate the obvious advantages of a modular design power supply. The price might be a little higher, but in the end I think it is worth it. Here is the link:

The clip is about 5 minutes but well worth the education.

yeah but if the size is your matter,i think you shold go with this one, but i think if you save some $ with psu, you can spend them to get a good gpu

No! A GTX770 will use 250w on its own.
A 250w PSU will do ok with low end cards up to about a Radeon 7750. Anything more and you will need to upgrade

Oops my bad
Yeah 600w is plenty for mid-high end single GPU systems
