Replace Dell Inspiron 600m HD

I have a Dell Inspiron 600m laptop which uses a Toshiba MK3021GAS HDD 2181 D ZEO 1 T hard drive that died. Do you know what current hard drives will physically fit into this laptop and will work? Also, is it possible to use a portable hard drive and bypass the internal hard drive?

Thank you Lonewolf7!! Now if I can just get the stripped screw out of the HD holder, I'm set. Any ideas?

Yes just release the screws from HDD holder, put the new HDD in. and tighten the screws, don't forget to plug the power and sata cable. You are done.
