Background Info:
So I am in the market to buy a new monitor. However, I am currently in Paris, France. I don't want to buy a French monitor with a french power system because I will be returning to America soon enough and the monitor will remain in America after that. I understand that there are different power systems (my knowledge of electricity is weak) and i might possibly need a converter or some sort of device. I was told by a friend that newer models of monitors are able to switch between different systems. The monitor I have been looking at is the VN247H-P.
Question:
Is it true that the Asus VN247H-P with an American power plug will switch to the French power system without exploding? (I know I will need a adapter for the plug part, I just want to make sure that the US Monitor will not be damaged if used on a French system).
