Why won't my mouse click anymore?

It will handle 'select' clicks if I switch to be a 'leftie' but not as a 'rightie' ?
But then the left (drop downs) click won't work

HP EliteBook 8460p

I have checked all of the mouse settings
I have rebooted keeping the USB in
I have rebooted with the USB out, then insert the USB plug
I have tried alternate USB ports

All to no avail. I do not have another mouse around to test if another works.

Sound like hardware issue to you?
Guess I could try to open her up and see if any solders have been broken.

just buy another one because if it works on none of the USB ports then it's probably the mouse and they are really cheap anyway.
