I have a HP dv6t Select Ed i bought in April of 2011. Currently i have it dual booting Fedora and Windows 7, and lately when i boot into Fedora i get a warning saying my Hard Drive (640GB) has many errors. Upon further inspection of the SMART Data, it says i have 149 bad sectors (reallocted sector count) in 2515 Power Cycles. I guess my question is, how worried should i be? and is there any way i can repair these "bad" sectors? Thank you.

backup your important data and replace the drive. The drive could corrupt your installations at anytime or even completely fail on you. I would pick up another drive soon, real soon.

Thank you, being a broke college student its going to be difficult to pick up a new harddrive. I was thinking of trying and getting a SSD?

An SSD will cost more than a HDD, especially on a cost/Byte basis, and the size of the drive will likely be much smaller.
