i currently have

i7 920
gtx 560
asrock x58 extreme
6gb corsair PC-2000

im looking to upgrade these components to;

amd-fx 8350
radeon 7950
asrock a85x extreme6
(not sure if i want/need to upgrade memory yet)

i'm looking to be able to play battlefield 4 and close to max settings at 1900x1200 at a decent frame rate like 30-40+

a couple of questions for you guys, any input is appreciated

1. would i NEED to upgrade my memory (aka buy faster and more memory?)

2. im looking to spend at or under $600 for these 3 to 4 components, currently at $505 on newegg.com with these 3. should i possibly get a "better" motherboard, i feel like this mobo has everything i need, i don't plan on getting a 2nd vid card and the inputs are all OK (USB/sata/pci/etc)

3. should i ever look to overlock this CPU? i'm assuming i would need a 3rd party fan/heatsink for that..

4. do these 3 parts im looking to purchase, are they of good quality? I've had good luck with ASRock, I know mobos can be iffy for DoAs and having to RMS them. Also, first time going AMD cpu in a long while. the 8350 seems to benchmark very well and has a good price to performance ratio... i think that seems like a good choice. same thing with the video card, always been an nVidia buyer, first time radeon buyer... again, radeons seem to be a little bit cheaper than nVidia but perform similar if not better than comparable nVidias.

5. i have a 600W PSU, would i need to upgrade that as well? the video card requires 500W

thanks guys :O)

I dont believe you would see an increase in performance from the i7 to the 8320. It would be a marginal increase, and probably would not be noticed in most games. You could just upgrade the GPU. You could also get a SSD, which I would highly recommend. A 7950 would be a good choice though.

I would just upgrade a 7950 and maybe get a SSD. Then when BF4 comes out, you can decide if you need to get a new processor or not.

What is your power supply model?

am i ok with this memory? memory is a cheap and effective upgrade. i would be buying a new set of sticks, how much is too much?

this is my current memory;
Kingston HyperX T1 Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) XMP

Well, if you plan to keep your computer and not go for a processor upgrade, I feel that you could keep the memory. There isnt such a thing as "too much" but 16GB and up is a little excessive.
