Hey guys I am really desperate to get this problem solved! I bought new parts for my pc and I am sure I have connected everything properly. When I put my ASUS GTX 660 into the computer, it always freezes at the motherboard splash screen. I then put in my old ATI Radeon 5770 and it works properly. I really have tried everything and since there is picture coming out of my gtx 660, I am assuming it is still functional. My Bios are also updated. Any suggestions please post here. My specs are:

Motherboard: asus m5a78l-m lx v2
Powersupply: GX Coolermaster 550W
CPU: AM3+ 6300 (6 CORE CPU)
Graphics carD: Asus GTX 660 (NOT TI VERSION)

What do you mean both 6 pin connectors? doesent the 660 only have one 6 pin input? And I have tried deleting drivers of the 5770 before putting in the gtx 660.

I deleted the 5770 video drivers correctly, cleared CMOS and the problem still persists. The motherboard is new, the CPU is new and the GPU is also functional the last time I checked, the powersupply is also ok because my computer runs the 5770 fine with it. Can someone please give me some solutions? Any options in BIOS i should play around with?
