So I have a few questions about GPU's.
1. Is more GHz in a GPU better.
2. Is a GPU (literally) a separate CPU but for graphics?
3. If #2 is correct, do GPU's have Cores and Threads?

I'll try to answer this to the best of my knowledge:

1. Yes and No. Just like CPU's it depends. If you are talking about comparing two cards of the same type (two 770's for example) then the speed would help determine the faster of the two cards. If you are comparing cards that are different, say a 770 vs a 7970 then not really. This is where looking at real world benchmarks comes in handy.

2. Kind of. It has most of the same type of components (Ram, processor etc...) Overview here... http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/graphics-beginners,1288.html

3. There are cards you can get that have two GPU's on the same card (GTX 690 for example. Or you can SLI/Xfire two cards to work together.
