What I have done so far:

BIOS
-USB Wakeup From Suspend [Enabled]

Power Settings
-Reset to Default
-Lid Closed [Do Nothing]

When I go to Device Manager< Universal Serial Bus Controllers < Any of the 8x USB Root Hub shown < Power Management the "Allow this device to wake the computer" is grey'd out.

What do I need to do for me to be able to select the checkbox?

I believe that's enabled on a device by device basis, find the input device under keyboards or human interface devices or whatever and you should be able to check it there.

go to (device manger) --> click (Human interface device) --> right click on (HID-compliant system controller) --> select properties --> click (power managment) tab --> mark (Allow this device to wake the computer)

that works for me
