Dear Tomshardware community,

Let me give you some good inside information about my current situation;

  • My budget right now is minimum 300 pounds and maximum 400 pounds.
    I still need to buy a PC Monitor, Keyboard and Windows 7 or 8.

After a month of intense researching on the net and on ebay and considering I am completely ignorant when it comes to gaming rings, I would like to ask you what you would do if you were me;

CPU: AMD FX 6300
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M USB3
RAM: 4GB

AMD 7770 - 355 pounds

Do you know the ram brand and power supply those computers have? If they are poor quality they WILL fail on you period.

Also - you could also build a computer better and cheaper than them!

From what I have seen so far it is most likely Corsair.

'We use only Major Branded Ram such as Kingston / Crucial / Patriot / Corsair / Mushkin"

Before my decision, I will definitely give them a call to be positive. However I couldn't find information regarding the brand of the power supply so I will give them a call about that as well.

And I wish I could start from scratch like other people, but I know I will mess it up in the end.

You would not mess up in the end, LOL! It's very easy to put a computer together, and only takes about an hour. It's literally like 7 pieces... PSU, HDD, CD DRIVE, Motherboard, CPU, GPU, and Case! Plus you can tune it to what you want. Since these people are in it for business, odds are they skip on a few quality parts in order to increase profit margins

Maybe I will do that for my future PC. Which one should I get right now?
