Rome Total war 2 on AMD Quad-Core A8-4500M 1.9GHz

I have a AMD Quad-Core A8-4500M 1.9GHz and im playing Rome 2, but the computer shuts down sometimes when im playing, even when the settings are at low graphic. Is this computer to old for this game or could I update it any way?

Your laptop might be overheating.check for dust in the vents and open up your laptop and clean out the fan and replace the thermal paste.
