Can't enable 3rd display with eyefinity?

I've installed a new powercolor hd7970 graphics card. I'm struggling to get all 3 monitors working using eyefinity. It's not working on the display adapter despite it being an the correct active type. The display adapter monitor is not being detected even when I pull the other leads out.

1 monitor is dvi
2 monitor hdmi
3 monitor is dp adpater to hdmi

I would welcome any advice?

Have you tried the other DVI port? Some video cards, the one DVI port is shared with the HDMI.

Yes tried that , same issue.

Can't understand why it won't work on its own either!

Solved by using a VGA lead
