I need help!!!!!

I am trying to determine which to buy: GTX 760 or Radeon 7950

I have selected if GTX 760:
-MSI
-Gigabyte

I dont know whats considered the best or two best Radeon 7950 (including overclocked). I see now that most 7950 are cheaper than GTX 760, but my biggest thing is, is Im spending about $250 (less if possible), I want the best card. I am running a AMD FX 8350 and Gigabyte 990-UD3 rev 4.

I do see on almost every benchmark, the 7950 is better than 760. Is this accurate or the case with all around performance? If so, what 7950 is the best currently?

i dont think there is a "best" HD 7950, however, the brand that would give you the most overclocking potential would probably be Club 3D's HD 7950 Royal King; review can be found here: http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/club_3d_7950_royal_king_review/3

in the end, id probably go with saint19's suggestion and pick up a MSI GTX 760 Gaming OC video card because it seemed to be either on par or flat out better than the HD 7950.

I have the MSI 7950 Twin frozer III and the same CPU as you, and it runs awesome. My two other flat mates both have the 760, one from EVEGA and one from Gigabyte and are running the new I5-4670k cpu's and my set up blows theirs away in "real world" benchmarks-- for instance on Arma2 singleplayer, I get 70+ frames (everything maxxed out) where as my buddy only gets 50 or so, and he isnt even running at 1080p.

Plus on the 7950, they overclock so well- I have OC mine to 1200mhz with a fractional increase in temperatures, both core and vrm sit at about 60% max load after a good hour of gaming.

Or, it might just be better to stay AMD/ATI- considering new generation of games will be console ports, optimised for ati/amd as thats whats going into the new consoles.
Get the 7950, cheaper, 3gb of vram, overclocks like a baws.

I went with 7950 gigabyte for $200 and free games.
