How to increase laptop resolution

I really want to increase my laptop resolution to 1920x1080 since games work much better with that res than 1366x768.

Check the Max Resolution for your GPU by Rt click on a space on your desktop. If 1920 x 1080 is not listed, then you will have to upgrade your laptop to one that has a GPU that supports full 1080P. (Vast majority of laptops have a fixed, non upgradeable GPU)
