Does the 1TB WD Caviar Black will work with Sata 1 ?

Hi,

I have an old motherboard (Asus p5p800), with Sata 1.
Anyone know if the 1TB WD Caviar Black will work with this motherboard?

Yes it will work. If it doesn't work, there should be a jumper setting to reduce the speed of the drive to sata1 speeds, but this is only required if your motherbaord doesn't properly negotiate sata speeds. You can find the jumper settings on WD's web site.
