4GB SLI with 2GB Card?

At the moment i have a single GTX 670 FTW Signature Edition 2GB Graphics Card.

I am wanting to SLI and run games at ULTRA at 1440p with 60fps.
As i am wanting to go at a higher resolutiuon and the i have heard that some games may be more GPU VRAM intensive, will getting a GTX 670 4GB SC Graphics Card work in SLI with my current card?

Nope, you are stuck with 2GB no matter what you do, as SLI doesn't increase available VRAM.

2GB is still enough for 1440p.

No you don't, the drivers will sort out the difference.

When you set up two cards for Crossfire or SLI, the RAM on each card is not simply added together. What happens is that the same textures are load into both cards. Using two of the same model graphic cards, but with different amount of RAM will mean that the extra RAM on the card with more RAM is wasted.

As stated, the same amount of textures will be loaded into the graphic cards' memories. If one has 4GB of RAM and the other only 2GB of RAM, then only 2GB on each card will be used.
