i installed kubuntu on my usb using yumi on xp system now when i try booting from bios boot priority using external device

Some older computers don't support booting from USB - - yours is one of them.
You may be able to add USB-boot option by updating the BIOS.
Check your motherboard manufacturer's website if it's an unbranded PC, or your computer makers website if it's a factory built model.
