Was just looking at these two cards:
GIGABYTE GV-R795WF3-3GD Radeon HD 7950 3GB @ $204
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414&Tpk=GIGABYTE%20GV-R795WF3-3GD
and
ASUS HD7950-DC2-3GD5-V2 Radeon HD 7950 3GB @ $234
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121716
Any thoughts from those of you who are more experienced in these endeavors? I'm not in a rush to purchase, but I'm not sure the prices will get any better for these respective cards in the next few months and I don't want to miss out on the current 3 free game promo. What am I gaining from the $30 difference between the two? Or maybe neither card is my best option.
If not the 7950 I'm considering a going with a 7870 at a $170 price point. The only reason I'd upgrade to the 7950 and spend the additional $30 to $60 is to gain future protection; I do not want to upgrade the gpu in two years.
