TP-link WN951N v1.0 Windows 8 Slow internet and disconnecting.

I have the issue with this wireless card under windows 8 64bit. Under windows 7 the card works perfect. i have the driver downloaded and installed from atheros, and having the same issue.

Have you tried completely uninstalling and re-installing the device?

i have the previous driver completely removed, and then the new Atheros AR5008 driver from Atheros downloaded and installed. it does the same.

It doesn't look like TP-Link has created a WIndows 8 Driver yet. They haven't updated the driver since 2010 from what I can see.

That being said, I would try both of the top two drivers on this list to see if they resolve the problem.

The solution for now that works. you need a windows 7 driver from TP-Link, Install the driver using compatibility mode. it works fine now. thanks for the replies.
