So I recently finished my build with the AMD 7990 and i7-4770k. I have a 144Hz monitor, so i want to play games at max refresh rates. When i set the monitor to 144Hz, however (in display settings) and try to open a game, the system crashes in a BSOD. My GPU has the latest AMD 13.10 drivers installed, I am confused as to what is going on.

Yeah I reinstalled the driver for the 7990. I am not sure exactly what you mean by computer brand and model because it is a custom build, the processor is a i7-4770k, GPU is AMD 7990, motherboard is ASUS Z87 Deluxe, ram is 2 sticks of 8 GB GSKILL 2400 MHz RAM, storage is Samsung 840 500 GB SSD

U have all required components to play games. How much is the graphic memory in ur gpu? U must see the display requirements of that game which u are playing (means what all are required to that game to play by going to their site). I recommend u to install DirectX Latest version software to play graphic games that will help u. Or there might problem of ur game setup file try re-installing with other setup file of this game.
