I have 16GBs of 2133Mhz Ram. How much faster would encoding be (roughly) if I had 32GBs of 2133. How much slower would 16Gbs of 1333mhz be? I recently got into video encoding so I'd like to hear about other ways to help the process.
Could be much faster going 32GB, many will take part of that for a RAMDisk and put the date file on the RAMDisk, then call it, from there goes much faster than with a platter Drive or even an SSD as all is in DRAM

I use two Vertex 4's in Raid 0. Would the hassle from constantly moving files to the RAM disk be worth it?
That would be something to try, I've got a pair of 120 SSDs in RAID 0 and depending on the project I stick thing in the RAMDrive, but I also keep large data files on a platter drive, unless they are static files, constant writes to SSDs are still their sore point
