I'm just trying to get solid performance on BF3, and soon to be BF4. I'd like something that won't be bottlenecked (don't want to overpay for lost performance).

I have i5 processor with 2.7GHz, quad core.
I have a 5770 HD right now.
PSU Corsair vx550w
4 GB's of RAM

I can get the 6950 for $100. The 570 will be $120-150 (hopefully around the lower area). I may even get the 570 with 2.5GBs of VRAM (tell me if that would be best, but what price would make it worth it compared to regular 1.2GBs). I was also looking at the 660, but it looks to be selling around $165 for a 'like new' version.

I'm only going to have time to play till March, so I basically only have 6 months of playing time. Because of that, I don't really want to spend too much money either. Originally wanted to buy 6870 for $80 haha.

What would be the best buy? Thanks

i can tell you i can run bf3 with a single gtx660 at 1080p on ultra settings 4 x AA and get 60fps solid. The other cards lack vram and since bf3 uses more than 1gb vram might suffer with ultra detail. the 570 is pretty close to the 660, but uses more power and only has the 1.2gb vram, although you say you can get a 2.5g version which would be ok. If the 2.5g version is even close to the price of the 660, then just get the 660.

That's awesome man. Thanks for the benchmarks! I'm looking at getting the GTX 570 2.5gb at under $130. If I can't, I might get the 570 1.2GB for under $100 hopefully. $160 is alittle high, and I've recently thought of increasing some RAM too!

EDIT: The 2.5 ended at over $180 LOL.
