Hi,
so to the forums advice I took the plunge on a almost new w7000. A model shipped with a dell computer.

I am having problem getting all my monitors to work with it and I am using PASSIVE DP to DVI adapters.

Note this is not an eyefinity 3 display gaming problem.

Just speaking to amd support and they said that one active adapter is need if using more than to 3 outputs I have found this post where guy claims using 4 passive adapters and they all work!-http://forum.dataton.com/topic/699-recommended-display-...

Can anyone share some knowledge on what the problem might be. My system was all working smoothly before hand with a gigabyte 990fxa ud3 + fx8350cpu.
Thanks

Ok Well after some more testing I have come to a conclusion.

If any one else thinking about he AMD 7000 range finds this and without the ability to test it before hand.,

You might incur problems with the monitor out puts. It's not a clear cut and simple as one might think. I have just tested the DP outputs with 2 brand new high quality monitors and it works, DVI adapters to no work on "not so old" hardware.

MY 1080" 40 inch is 3 years old and the samsung with DVI 6 years and both cannot be used on the w700 but are running on the Old nvidia 7600 I had before.

AMD at their forums cannot even come up with an answer for this so do your research. Their is hardly any info on this GC and or anyone stating any problems they've had which had I heard them would have had the chance to reconsider.

Soon i will upgrade all my monitors with DP outputs soon after i pay off the loan i took to pay for this $800 professional Card and then win the lottery ;)
