When accessing tom's from a smartphone or tablet, there are pop-up advertisements that follow the screen as you scroll. These seem to dramatically slow down the scroll speed and are extremely detrimental to the overall experience.

You can close them but the "close x" is so small that it is nearly impossible to touch without touching the add itself which of course redirects you to the ad. When you come back, another has taken its place.

I love this site and I know tom's draws its revenue from advertising and some ads are fine, just please don't allow them to detract from the experience. I would expect more from a leading technology website. I almost don't visit tom's anymore from my phone for this reason.

Thank you.

If you are a registered user, ads are disabled for you on the forums. :)  A perk, to be sure. Make sure you are logged in on your mobile device.

Also - can't help but notice your avatar is Atlantic Shard. A shout out from the Mayor of Moonglow, here. ;)

Thanks for the reply. I am logged in on the forums, this issue is more or less related to the home page.

And hail from Trinsic! Atlantic vet from 97-03.

Ahh, well if there's an ad you bump into on the main page that you find over the top, just let me know here and I'll send it over to the guys who tend to those items with a request to look into what could be causing the issue. Sometimes a chunkier one sneaks past, but we do what we can to fix them when we find out.

Trinsic, eh? I think that was the one city I never had Moonglow Town Council invade. :p
