I'm trying to connect a second hdd to my Hp Envy M6.

I've removed the optical drive, and there is a micro SATA connecter.

Searching amazon and ebay, I've found only "HDD caddies" to replace the optical drive, but no outright adapters or cables.

There are adapters which turn micro sata HDDs into SATA, but not the other way around.: here is one:

I need to connect my SATA hdd to a Micro SATA optical dirve port.

Micro SATA drives appear to be 3.3V devices whereas 2.5" SATA drives require 5V (and sometimes 12V).

This is a comprehensive site, but it doesn't appear to have what you are looking for:

I'm looking for one more like the amazon post in my original question.

I realize the power differences though.

There are HDD caddies all over the place, but for the price of those I could buy a new HDD.
