Toshiba Laptop disc drive stopped working, please help?!

I have a "Windows 7" toshiba laptop and my disc drive stopped working out of no where, I stuck a disc in there shut the door and noticed it wasn't bringing up the program like it normally would. The light doesn't work on the drive like it normally would either and when hitting the eject button, it doesn't eject, and I have a disc stuck inside of it. I tried ejecting it by right clicking the drive and selecting eject but nothing happens. I'm getting no error messages at all and I'm at a complete loss! I have done some google searches but none seem to be just like mine, some can get theirs to eject or recognize the disc but not eject etc,... but mine sees the disc drive and the drive itself just does not work!?'

I'm running my anti virus now to make sure this isn't the problem.

Look carefully the front of the drive there is a small hole, insert a paper clip or safety pin and push with it, you will feel something, then push the eject button, the drive will now eject, or pull the drive's tray out. Good luck.
