I have the hyper 212 plus cooling my intel core i5 2500k @ 4.2 Ghz. The fan is so loud and inefficient however, wanting me to get the nh-d14. But i'd rather just get 2 noctua fans in push-pull configuration. Which 120mm fans should I get?

Noctua NF-P12 120mm Two Speed Premium Fan, 1300/900 RPM, SSO2 Bearing with NE-FD1 PWM IC

or

Noctua NF-F12 PWM Cooling Fan

If one fan is too noisy for you, 2 will be noisier. Even if they are better fans. Do you have Speedstep/C1E enabled in BIOS? Do you have a 2nd PWM 4 pin CPU FAN header?

Not necessarily if both fans are quieter than the one? I have 2 3-pin fan headers.
And there are 2 more 3-pin headers near the middle of the motherboard.

Yes, but the 3 pin fan headers are not PWM controlled by the CPU temp. They will either run at full RPM all the time, or their speed will be controlled by the board temp, not the CPU.

...and you didn't answer my question.

The NF-F12 fans are more meant for use on Radiators and Heatsinks; I would use those. There probably won't be a whole world of difference if you use the other ones, though.
