Motherboard Standoff Screws Not Tight

I'm currently building my computer, and for some odd reason, 7/9 of the standoff screws aren't going in tightly. Probably around 1/2 of the screws are still sticking out. Any suggestion as to what I should do?

Are you trying to tighten them by hand? That can work, but as you've discovered, some cases are just stubborn. I've noticed in a few cases there is an included socket that you can use with your screwdriver to tighten them

If you don't have that, what you need is a 5mm socket, like this: http://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-5mm-hex-bit-socket/p-00942675000P

You'll probably be able to find one cheaply at a local hardware store.

Yeah, I'm using my hands. Tried using a plier, but that didn't work.
