Hello Everyone!
I'm going to build a very basic computer in the near future for my Guest Bedroom.....
Mostly, my 4 yr old will use it for his educational sites and games.......

I know what I need to build a "Gaming" Rig, but I'm not sure what processor would be ideal for browsing the internet etc.

Uses:
-Internet
-Flash Games (Like Nick Jr and Disney Jr)
-Possibly Streaming Music...... That's really all though!

I have this dinosaur currently......
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00070777&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=405451

However it's on it's last leg and not sure if anything is worth saving (I'm assuming no)......

What I need help on:
-Processor (With video integrated) Can be old.......not obsolete though
-Case (I like Mid Towers) easier to work with.....Might be over kill in this scenario
-Power Supply
-Ram

Trying to make it as cheap as possible.....
Any suggestiuons?

if you have old hdd, you can re-use the old one. make sure it is sata hdd

this build includes haswell low power dual core cpu
very efficient and still powerful for office pc

I would go for a rig like this, quite good if all your looking for is a zippy family machine. The A8 APU will also mean that it will perform decently in low end games.

Only downside of this rig is relatively low storage space since I went for an SSD rather than a HDD, you could maybe pull the HDD (if its SATA) from your current HP and use it in this. If you cant and you feel you need the storage space (downloading movies or something) then you can always swap it out for a HDD.
