My current build is in my sig plus I have an oldish acer v223w. I also used a 32" 1080p tv to game on but its response time was slow so it made it a subpar experience. I have about $250 and would like to upgrade my computer with it. Since the display (my acer v223w) is kinda bad nowadays, due to 1050p and colors being washed out, I was thinking to go for a new one maybe a benq RL2455HM or BenQ GW2750HM. Would like a 27" but could go 24" too. Viewing angle isnt too big a deal to me since I just sit directly in front of it. I could also get a 3570k or a 250GB ssd to replace my hdd and have ssd only storage(most likely not the latter but its an option).
I am open to suggestions but at this time I am leaning towards a new monitor. If there is something for 300 I can just wait a little and get it if it is truly worth the extra money. I almost forgot but I will be using this for gaming (fps and third person some online play too) and browsing the web as well as watching Star Trek
As always don't just use the budget because its there please help me to make a good choice that uses my money as best as possible because any money I save means I can buy more games :)
Thanks for the help

Yeah, realised as soon as I posted my question xD

For $200 there's this monitor:

Here is a comparision of what you would be gaining by upgrading your processor, but ofcourse at a higher resolution, things become more graphics card dependant, a good monitor upgrade is definetely better than a processor upgrade.

Is that seriously it? I was under the impression I would be getting a good deal more than that. Like going from 25 to 35 fps. Not worth 200 to me then.
So is that monitor you linked going to be really good for gaming? I was under the Impression that Hannspree wasnt too good of a brand.

They are a trusted brand here in the UK, not sure about down there in the US, but if you want to be really sure of quality, then this:

the hanspree monitor has all the good signs though, good reviews, good response times.

In the 24" region thats a nice monitor, it should perform similarly to the asus for gaming.

if you still want to stick to asus though:

However the benq monitor should be better for gaming.
