Hi everyone, I'm building a PC for the first time and hope somebody can review my part's list and give me suggestions. I will mainly be doing gaming, not hardcore 3D video/image rendering software.

1. Whats up with that 7970? You can easily find them for $100 less than that.
2. 8GB RAM is plenty for gaming.
3. Get a 120GB SSD with the money you save from finding a cheaper 7970!

Agreed, put your operating system on the 120 gb you can pick them up for around 80-90 dollars, the fx-8350 is an amazing processor, you will be happy with it. Use the 1 Terabyte for your games and storage (your computer will thank you and run a lot faster)

Better yet, i got one for you, based off of his. Some minor adjustments (for speed & stability, especially if you run windows x64)

Build (Better & Improved)

I adjusted the ram to 1866 (faster speed and memory access, along with better stability)
I also selected an asus cd rom (I have many and they are really reliable, plus there cheaper)
Also a Solid State Drive (Kingston is a good brand) would be really helpful to improve major speed of booting and for applications.
Also I put in there a 1 Terabyte Seagate Drive, (I know I have one, they go forever) they are cheaper as well.
Also I changed your power supply to a Corsair, simply because they are cheaper and just as good as quality as a Seasonic one, I have an XFX in my computer right now.

Total for Build: 1278.97 (After discounts & rebates)

You save 20 dollars after its all said and done.
