I am wanting to know is what is the difference between the XO seven and the old 360 high end gaming headsets. i read the specs on the XO sevens and essentualy i believe they just come with an xbox one adapter that uses the 3.5 jack just like any other headset. I am wanting to see what Astro comes out with on there a40s becuase those would be the perfect setup for what i need. Is there anyone with more info on the third party headset situation for the xbox one?

i currently have PX5s.

i don't think the xbone supports old headsets but i wouldn't know following xbone news is extremely confusing im pretty sure the ps4 supports themthough.

It does ive been folowing it but it requires you to buy an adapter for you to be able to use chat funtions, it still uses and optical port for the game sound.

i dont believe you get the same sound quality from usb as you do from optical, thats why on most high end gaming pcs have motherboards with an optical or a dedicated sound card with optical.
