Hi, this is my first time here posting. I was wondering what I should know to get the correct graphics card for my motherboard. I use a program called CPU-Z should I take a screenshot for the CPU, mainboard, and my current graphics card? Or would I need to get more information?

Thank you!

Basic information is usually needed for upgrades. So please list (or screenshot if easier) your core components. Eg: Cpu, Gpu, RAM, HDD, OS
I can help from there.

Budget?

EDIT: Accidentally posted as an answer, meant to be a reply. By all means, don't think of this as an answer.

Hehe, all right. My budget is probably around $200 but under $200 would be better.
I play Far Cry 3 on some medium settings and want to play some new GTA game series soon.

GTX 560 ti is around $160 (Probably $120 if you wait til black friday in a few months).
GTX 550ti is around $110 (You wont be able to run GTA V when it comes out, but far cry yes.)
XFX HD Radeon 7870 is the best you could get, at $200 (Will run Far Cry 3 on High and GTA V fine. )

Remember to choose best answer.

But really if you can play far cry 3 on medium with your current gpu, A 560 ti would be all you need for GTA games and Far Cry.

Thank you so much for giving me other options. My current gpu over-heats? when I play Far-cry 3 the fans are running at a high speeds. Just want to get a better graphics card so I can play some recent games on High settings.
