Hey all, I am curious if there are any compatibility issues, or issues in general with these parts for my computer upgrade plans? I don't want to get a part that may just crap out on me 8 or 9 months down the line.

Would there be any issues if I was to upgrade the motherboard to a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128627 so i can have room to expand my memory and add a second graphics card if i want to? The other parts will remain the same, also, I forgot to mention this will all be replacing the parts in a HP P7-1234 desktop, specifications are here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c03363664&prodSeriesId=5187022. Would you recommend any changes to the RAM, i would prefer a quality brand, or stick with g.skill if possible.

that motherboard will work with everything you listed but if you are considering putting that motherboard and another video card in the future then no, you will need a case with enough space for a full atx motherboard which won't be to much like thermaltake has a v3 for about 30 bucks right now great deal and will fit your build

Ok, chances are the video card will handle me just fine, same with the RAM, i am going to be using this mainly for Maya and gaming. If i need to do any upgrades, it will probably be ram first, then if i need to upgrade a video card, i will just do a 1 for 1, I don't like the idea of Crossfire.

Also, after talking with another forum user, what do you think of this build?
