Hi.

I'm having a little debate with myself about upgrading my PC. I was always a fan of AMD CPU's and single graphics card. Well...now I have some cash coming my way and I thought about experimenting a bit. I thought about getting Intel Core i5 4670, put it on Asus Z87-A and get a second Gigabyte 560 GTX to pair it with my old one. Can anyone share opinion about this build? Thanks.

I don't really plan to go crazy on res. I'm happy for now with my full HD 24" Led, so I'll stick to 1920x1080.

Yeah...sounds reasonable...but...I'm currently running my rig on AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2Ghz sitting on Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 with 8GB of RAM and mentioned before GF 560GTX. Now...as far as the upgrade goes I think I would rather invest more cash upgrading CPU and Mobo and give cheaper kick to the graphics card as 560GTX performs really nicely so far. I know it won't stand the test of time for years, but so far it was sufficient. The thing is - HD7970 would cost me 200+ pounds, and I can get exactly same card from my friend for just about 50 pounds (where normally they go for 80-90). And in about a year I will probably think about single, high-end card and perhaps extra 8GB of RAM. By the way - 560GTX PCI-E 2.0 should be fine in PCI-E 3.0 sockets, right?
