7970 ghz or 770 for bf4 ultra?

hey guys, im stuck in between to gpu's for my first build. my goal is to run bf4 on ultra. now i know the 770 has a slight edge over the 7970 ghz. but the bf4 requirements say you need 3gb of vram. and the 770 cannot offer that and i dont want to spend a heap of money on a 4gb model. what should i choose?

Either way, both classes of graphics card scale to 3GB so that's not a problem. Sure, the AMD cards, though optimized for BF4, benchmark lower than the Nvidia class. However, both types of card will give you remarkable performance. It's not like this is the difference between 15fps and 25fps. This is more like the difference between 60fps and 80fps. You simply won't notice. That being said, I would go with the 7970's because they cost much less, assuming you need 3GB or more of VRAM.

7970 ghz is a beast, but the choice always depends on the games you play...(and 770 is slightly better). For example the new arkahm game is optimized for nvdia cards

Unfortunately, Its a pretty close call between this two. If you plan to buy bf4/5... go with amd
